"I am a retired mechanical/industrial engineer who has had a lifelong interest in fine art. During my travels I have visited the major art museums in England and France. Upon retirement in 2000, I found I had the time to devote myself to an in-depth exploration of the disciplines needed to become a representational painter. I have read and studied over 100 books on painting in oils and attended numerous workshops given by some very talented painters. I also own a number of DVDs by today’s elite painters. At this point in my art studies I paint still life (mostly flowers), landscapes and portraits."
"It is my current goal to apply what I have learned and each day become a more complete artist capturing the essence of the subject in an impressionistic representational way. "
